The eSevanam portal is a single window platform that is developed for providing a single interface to access all services offered by various government departments, institutions and organisations.
This portal as such does not provide any service. This site is an aggregator that lists applications developed by various government departments, institutions and organisations for ease of access and search. This portal lists all applications that have been forwarded by the concerned departments to be listed.
The eSevanam portal only lists all the applications that are forwarded by the concerned departments, institutions and organisations. When a user clicks on the service, you will be forwarded automatically to the concerned application.
At present, different departments, institutions and organisations have developed various applications for services and are hosted under different domains. It is very difficult for a user to memorise the URLs or browse through different URLs for accessing a service. This portal intends to provide a list of all the web applications and portals developed by different departments, along with the name of the application, purpose and other details required for availing the service. This helps users to easily access and search different applications with utmost ease.
For availing services of different applications, users will be forwarded to the concerned application, when they click on the service in the eSevanam portal. The user then has to login to the concerned application for availing the service, if login is required. With the adoption of Kerala Single Sign-on as a single sign-on system, we're intending to provide a single login for accessing services offered by various departments. This process is currently being implemented for some services.
Not all applications require login for availing services. Certain services such as bill payments by different departments can be done without login to the concerned application. Nevertheless, the user has to visit the concerned application for availing the services.
Kerala Single Sign-on is the single sign-on mechanism that would enable users to have a single login for availing services from different applications and portals of various departments, organisations and institutions. Some services which are listed in the eSevanam portal have enabled the Kerala Single Sign-on login system. For availing services from those applications, the user does not need to login individually to these applications separately.
Some services, which have implemented Kerala Single Sign-on as the login system, do not allow other modes of login. Hence if you have not created a Kerala Single Sign-on account, you will not be able to login and avail such services. However you can access those services which have not enabled Kerala Single Sign-on login or which do not require login, if you do not have a Kerala Single Sign-on account.
If you do not have a Kerala Single Sign-on account, you cannot access services which have enabled Kerala Single Sign-on login system. All other services which do not have Kerala Single Sign-on login or which does not require login can be accessed without a Kerala Single Sign-on account.
All services which support Kerala Single Sign-on login are shown with a key icon along with the Apply Online button. This icon is not present for those services which do not support Kerala Single Sign-on login.
You can register/login to the Kerala Single Sign-on system by clicking on the Login/Register button provided at the top right of the eSevanam portal.
If you have not logged in to the Kerala Single Sign-on account, you will be automatically redirected to Kerala Single Sign-on login, when you click on a service which requires Kerala Single Sign-on login.
The key icon indicates that the service listed requires Kerala Single Sign-on login for accessing that service.
Single sign-on is a method that enables users to use a single login credential for accessing different websites and portals. This enables users to have a single set of login credentials, rather than having multiple login details making it tedious.
